Hi there everyone,
We've had a thread about why we do what we do and what we are hoping to achieve in the long term, but what are you guys working on short-term. That is to say, what are you hoping to have nailed by say, the end of the wekk/next month?
Here's my list...
1. The groove to the song 777-93-11 by Morris Day & The Time.
2. To be able to memorise my TD10 brain so I can get up patches in the blink of an eye.

I'm trying to get most of the songs on this tower of power live album down. Amazing stuff in here.

Garibaldi! He's amazing. Their are some samples here
The samples are pretty bad quality compared to the album. It's really clear! I just love I Like Your Style and You're the Most. So simple but sooo much style and groove.
Here's You're the Most

1. To complete most of the Garibaldi book "The Funky Beat". Tomorrow I plan on taking the beats I have down and just grooving on them for hours until they are ingrained in my mind. I want to make sure I am playing them right dynamically too.
2. To get down the main groove part of "America" by Vinnie on the album "UnReel" by Randy Waldman.
3. "The Freight-Train" or whatever the hell it's called. The Tony/Vinnie hand and foot roll. I've been practicing it a half-hour a day for a couple of weeks to a metronome.
I practiced with my band today and just wasn't feeling it, so I want to improve my groove. I will probably practice in odd sigs for awhile too.

Compose drum patterns, grooves, riffs(on guitar) for my band, and put together a new song.
Finish producing drum tracks for Brainfang EP www.brainfang.com
Learn powerthrash metal tunes for recording session.
Watch Critters, Critters 2, and Critters 3 DVD's, and then get suckered into buying Critters 4 for my son Tommy(4)
